Calc 3D is a collection of mathematical tools for high school, university, and professionals.
The calculator can do statistics, best fits, function plotting, integration. It handles vectors, matrices, complex numbers, quaternions, coordinates, regular polygons and intersections.
For objects ( like point, line, plane and sphere) distances, intersections, and some additional information such as volume and area are calculated.
Cartesian, spherical and cylindrical coordinates can be transformed into each other.
Carthesian plot, polar plot, parametric plot, best fit, fast fourier transformation, histogram, smoothing, and a host of other functions are accomplished easily with Calc 3D.
Features:
Intersections: Calc 3D solves mathematical problems in a very direct way. For example: What is the intesection of 2 line? Calc 3D answer: The 2 lines intersect at the point ... Or if they are parallel, Calc 3D tells you. The professional version combinates in 3 dimensions: point, line, plane, sphere, line between 2 points, triangle, quadrilateral and in 2 dimensions: point, line, circle, line between 2 points, triangle, quadrilateral.
Complex Quaternions: With complex numbers, when you change the real or imaginary part, the magnitude and phase angle change automatically, and vice versa. To multiply 2 complex numbers by hand, you need to multiply 4 real numbers and add the results. Calc 3D does it in one click. Before Calc 3D, teachers had to work hard at the board, and pupils were mostly confused. The professional version has also a graphical output.
Vectors: For vectors, basic operations (+-*/), crossproduct, spar product, unit vector and angle between two vectors can be evaluated. The professional version has more dimensions and a random number generator.
Matrices: For matrices, basic operations (+-*/), inverse, determinante, rotation matrix and multiplication with a vector can be evaluated. The professional version can also split in 2 diagonal matrices, sum the diagonal elements, transpose the matrix, has more dimensions and a random generator.
Coordinates: You can transform cartesian, spherical and cylindrical coordinates into each other.
Multiple Languages: Calc3D can be displayed in German, English, and Spanish.
Plotting Functions: Graphical plots are displayed in 2D, polar, 3D, and Countour formats.
Editor: You can load, save, print, print preview, change fonts, and edit tables, paragraphs, and colors.
Other Features: numerical integration, polygons, circles, calendar, installer, resizable screens
Operating System: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP
